Final Update...

The last game of the Euro 2008 Fantasy Football League has finished, with Spain beating Germany 1-0 in the Final thanks to a Torress goal. Fabregas, Football 4 Charity's player of the tournament was given man of the match for this game.

The winner of the fantasy football league goes to two managers: Nick Morgan of Tommy's and Dylan from Abington School, both these managers saw their team finish on 210 points and therefore win tickets to Wembley to see England Play. Semi Finals Update Game Two...

In the second semi-final match, Spain cruised to a 3-0 victory over Russia. It was a tight and close first half and Spain could not break the deadlock until the 49th minute thanks to Xavi Hernandez, Silva and Guiza got Spain's other goals with the substitute Fabregas being given man of the match thanks to his inspiring movement and assists.

Spain now face Germany in the final.



Semi Finals Update Game One...

Germany squuezed past an injury ridden Turkish side in a 3-2 thriller. Turkey had to field a weak team due to a huge injury least but still gave it their all and for many parts of the game were the better team. Turkish goals came from Sonturk and Boral with Sheffield United's Kazim-Richards getting man of the match. Germany's Klose, Schweinsteiger and Lahm all got the crucial goals that sent them through to the Final against the winner of Spain and Russia,



Quater Finals Update Day 4...

The BIG game between Spain and Italy ended in another penalty shoot out. Casillas saved two penalties and got man of the match and with the help from Villa, Rodriguez and Fabregas Spain booked their Semi-Final Spot. Guiza of Spain saw his penalty saved by Buffon, while Grosso and Camoranesi were the only ones to score the Italian penalties, both Di Natale and De Rossi missed,

Spain now face Russia in the Semi-Finals, with Germany taking on Turkey! Only FOUR fames to go!!!



Quater Finals Update Day 3...

Another Quater final ended 1-1 and went to extra-time and Russia's attacking play from the start paid off as they came out 3-1 winners. Van Nistelrooy got Hollands only goal with the Russian goals coming from Torbinsky, Pavluchenko and Arshavin who got man of the match as well. Russia will play the winners of Spain and Italy in the Semi-Finals.



Quarter Finals Update Day 2...

The second Quarter Final between Turkey and Croatia was not a dull affair. The only two goals of the game were scored in the last two minutes of extra-time, with Klasnic giving Croatia the lead and Senturk pulling on back for Turkey in the 120th minute. So the game went to a shoot out and Turkey one 3-1 on penalties thanks to goals from Senturk, Altintop and Turan and a penalty save by Rustu. Srna was the only one to score a penalty for Croatia, with Rakitic, Modric and Petric all missing. Modric was outstanding up until his penalty miss and therefore was awarded man of the match and Turkey now face Germany in the Semi-Finals!



Quarter Finals Update Day 1...

In day on of the Quarter Finals Germany came out top in a five goal thriller against Portugal. A sensational performance from Schweinsteiger who got a goal, an assist and man of the match aweard gave the Germans a 3-2 victory. Other goals came from Ballack and Klose for Germany, with Nuno Gomes and Postiga getting Portugals goals.
