Germany one again with a tight 1-0 victory over Austria. Lahm, the German defender was awarded man of the match with Chelsea's Ballack grabbing the only goal.
In tonights only other game, Croatia beat Poland 1-0 thanks to a goal from Klasnic with the man of the match award going to Rakitic of Croatia.
Day Nine Updates...
On the ninth day of Euro 2008 the Swiss and Turks got suprise wins against Portugal and the Czechs respectively. Switzerland beat Portugal 2-0 thanks to goals and a man of the match performance from Yakin.
While Turkey came from two goals behind after Koller and Plasil gave the Czechs the lead, to win 3-2 thanks to a double strike from Kahveci and Turan grabbing the other. Man of The Match went to Kahveci.
Day Eight Updates...
Spain left it late again, but thanks again to a great performance and goals from Torres and Villa, they beat Sweden by two goals to one, Ibrahimovic got Swedens goal and veteran Henrik Larsson got man of the match.
Current holders Greece are out after losing 1-0 to Russia, the goal and man of the match went to Zurjanov.
Day Sevens Updates...
France have suffered more misery with a 4-1 defeat to ever improving Holland. Goals came from Sneijder (who also got the man of the match award), Kuyt, Robben and Van Persie. France's goal came from Henry.
Buffon saved a last minute penalty from Mutu that would have given Romania a win and Italy another poor result. Buffon therefore got man of the match and goals came from Panucci and Mutu.
Day Six Update...
Croatia booked there place in the next round with a shock 2-1 win over Germany. Goals cam from Srna and Ollic with Pranjic getting man of the match for Croatia. Podoloski scored Germany's only goal and took his Euro '08 tally to 3 goals in 2 games.
The hosts Austria got a last minute equaliser thanks to a Vastic penalty equalising Rogers earlier goal for Poland. Krzynowek got man of the match in a rather dull match.
Day Five Update...
On the fifth day of the tournament an outstanding Ronaldo, who is currently being chased by Real Madrid, scored one and set up two as Portugal beat the Czech's 3-1, with Deco and and Quaresima bagging the other goals. Ronaldo also earnt himself the Man of the Match award and Sionko scored the Czech goal.
A great late performance from Turkey saw them come from behind to win by two goals to one and send the Swiss packing. Yakin gave the hosts the lead and Senturk equalised. Turan gave the Turks a last minute winner and Man of The Match therefore goes to him.
Day Four Update...
David Villa bagged a hatrick and the man of the match award as Spain beat Russia by four goals to one in this afternoons match. Spains new 3 up front formation paid with assists coming from Fabregas, Iniesta, Torres and Xavi setting up Fabregas's late goal.
The Swedes claimed a victory over recent European Champions Greece with veteran Henrik Larsson giving in a strong performance. Ibrahimovic and defender Hansson got the goals, with the latter getting man of the match award.
Day Three Update...
An outstanding Kuyt, of Liverpool, set up two goals as the Dutch cruised to a 3-0 win over Italy. This shock result was littered with dodgy decisions by the officials and two of Hollands goals seemed to be offside. Van Bronckhorst, Sneijder and Van Nistelrooy goals gave them an easy victory with Kuyt being awarded Man of The Match.
In todays other game Romania held France to an uneventful bore draw with the man of the Match being awarded to Florent Malouda of Chelsea. Hackney Hotheads now lead the way, 8 points clear at the top!
Day Two Update...
Lukas Podolski helped Germany top their group with the only goals in a 2-0 victory over Poland. Podolski was awarded man of the match and helps the Hackney Hotheads managed by Knut hold second place. Knut is currently 2 points behind Garry Websters Iron Head Team.
Elsewhere, Croation beat joint hosts Austria by one goal thanks to a Luka Modric goal. Man City's Corluka was given man of the match and the +5point bonus.
Day One Update...
The Euro '08 Fantasy Football League has begun with Portugal winning 2-0 against the Turks thanks to goals from Pepe and Meireles, Deco was outstanding and won man of the match for Portugal.
Elsewhere, the Czechs beat joint hosts Switzerland by one goal in a tight match thanks to substitute Svekos, Chelsea No. 1 Cech was given man of the match due to his string of great saves.
